If you would like to write for us, Tartan Tech is keen to hear from you. We welcome guest contributors who work in technology and can explain something clearly and honestly.
We publish articles for readers who want to understand technology, not just hear about it. Your article should explain something useful in plain language, with examples where they help. You do not need to be a professional writer, but you do need to know your subject well.
What we publish
- Practical guides and how-tos (for example, setting up a tool, fixing a common problem, or getting started with a technology)
- Explainers on AI, cybersecurity, software, gadgets and mobile
- Honest reviews and comparisons
- UK-focused tech news and analysis
Our standards
- Original work only. Your article must be written by you, must not be published anywhere else, and must not be copied from another source. We check every submission.
- Useful, not promotional. The article should help the reader. It must not be an advert for a product or service.
- Accurate. Check your facts and link to official sources where it helps the reader.
- UK English. Write in clear, plain UK English.
- Length. Articles should normally be at least 1,000 words.
- Links. You may include up to two relevant links: one to your own website or profile, and one to a useful source. We do not publish paid links or link schemes.

Email your pitch to ayeshagenius0@gmail.com with:
- Your article idea in one or two sentences
- A short outline of what the article will cover
- A line about who you are and why you are qualified to write on the topic
If we like your idea, we will reply with the next steps. We review every pitch, but we cannot publish every submission, and we may edit accepted articles for clarity, length and style.
We do not pay for guest posts. In return, your article will carry your name and a short author bio with one link to your website or profile. If you have a question before you pitch, please contact us through our Contact Us page.
